Today I finally emerged from the craziness of a month full of travels, event-planning, and a time-consuming but worthwhile project called "dating." The trips and the retreat are over, and while the relationship continues, I found some unexpected time to myself tonight.
First there were margaritas and man-bashing with a ministry colleague. Then I found half-price sugar-free Valentine chocolates and proceeded to get sick on this gift to myself while watching a little taped TV. I made plans to attend a concert (most likely by myself) on Thursday, which excites me to no end, opted not to do responsible things like taxes, and caught up with a few friends.
How close had I become to forgetting what it's like to just be quiet and essentially alone for an evening? No responsibilities to any one or thing. No agenda. Just taking stock of life...and enjoying it at the same time.

[sipping noise] Hmmm... needs more updates.
...I hope your projects are going well!
I have no idea how this post got lost in the blog - or how it was found, for that matter - but I suppose I must admit to writing it two months ago!
